Day 1
Depart from Lilongwe with your driver to Cape Maclear. We will stop at the famous Mua mission and museum which will give us a good view of the three main Malawian tribes of the Mua area; the Chewa, the Ngoni and the Yao. All the history, culture and rituals are exposed in this colourful museum.
We arrive in Cape Maclear around in the early afternoon and visit the base camp of Kayak Africa along the shores of Lake Malawi. Here we will enjoy our lunch, after we kayak (or motorboat) to the Island Mumba and stay and relax in the comfortable furnished tents of Kayak Africa’s lodge, built on the outskirts of the Island and providing the most exclusive views over Lake Malawi. We can swim, snorkel and dive on the Island, or explore the surroundings by foot.

Accommodation: Fully furnished walk in safari tents build on wooden platforms with magnificent views over lake Malawi.
Distance: 300 km first 15 km and last 30 Km over dirt road the rest tarmac, (distance kayaking 10 Km).
Travelling time : approximately 4.5 hours, (extra kayaking time about 2 hours, motorboat transfer 30 minutes)
Day 2
Stay the whole day on the magnificent Island to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
