Malina Country Lodge & Fishing Estate
The MAGALIESBERG CANOPY TOUR is a unique eco-adventure that takes clients on a 2,5 hour tour down the spectacular Ysterhout Kloof, set in the ancient Magaliesberg Mountains. Eleven platforms have been built against the cliffs and rock faces of the kloof and are joined by long steel cables that clients slide along to reach the next platform. Much like a “foefie” slide, the canopy tour essentially involves zigzagging down the kloof while stopping at each platform to admire the expansive views and surrounding ecology. Two trained canopy guides assure the safety of each participant while describing interesting facts about the indigenous plants, bird life, ecology and geology of the area.

WHERE IS THE MAGALIESBERG CANOPY TOUR?
The Magaliesberg Canopy Tour is situated in the Ysterhout Kloof, within the spectacular Magaliesberg Mountain range, a mere 1,5 hours drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. The tour departs from offices situated at the Sparkling Waters Hotel and Spa.
WHERE DID THE IDEA ORIGINATE?
Canopy tours originated in the lush rainforests of Costa Rica, where adventurous biologists erected a system of cables through the canopy layer of the forest in order to observe the fauna and flora in that previously inaccessible region. The Magaliesberg Canopy Tour is the third of its kind in South Africa, alongside the Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour just outside Plettenberg Bay and the Karkloof Canopy Tour outside Howick in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands.
WHAT IS THE MAGALIESBERG CANOPY TOUR?
It is a unique and unforgettable 2 ½ hour experience through the Ysterhout Kloof. Slide above the kloof from eleven platforms built high against the cliffs and rock faces of the kloof and joined by ten slides up to 140m long and in some places up to 30m above the stream below.
IS IT SAFE?
The system has been designed and constructed by a civil engineer. During the tour two trained guides assure the safety of each group while describing interesting facts about the history of the range, surrounding ecology, bird and animal life.

This beautiful guesthouse is situated in the centre of Pretoria East. Three minutes drive from the N1, N4 and the well known Menlyn Park Shopping Centre. Safari Nursery is walking distance from our guesthouse. There is a variety of up market restaurants in the vicinity. The guesthouse is next to the Lynnridge Mall. We are close to CSIR, Hospitals, the University of Pretoria and Loftus.
A swimming pool is available for the guests. Towels are available on request. Guests can relax on loungers under the beautiful palm trees. A nice tea garden is available for our guests. The tea garden is also available for outside breakfasts.

BLUE ROOM
This double room has a queen bed and en-suite bathroom (shower over the bath) opening out onto small private courtyard with own entrance. Self-catering facilities: crockery, cutlery, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster.
EARTH ROOM - (option of self-catering and disabled friendly)
Self-contained unit comprising large room with twin-beds (King bed option), and open-plan living area with underfloor heating and fully equipped kitchenette. The en-suite bathroom has shower and bath. Access to the unit is on level ground through double doors; in addition strategic safety handles in bathroom make this unit disabled friendly.
GARDEN COTTAGE - (option of self-catering)

Impala are often heard and viewed from the patio and the occasional kudu has also been seen. Guineafowls are regular visitors though.

Guineafowl Chalet
The Guineafowl Chalet is a beautiful and very spacious single-roomed (7m x 4m) thatched chalet.
Furnished with antique furniture comprising a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, single bed, dining table and chairs. A second single bed can be added if required.
Also barfridge, fan, heater, television, kitchenette with 3-plate stove with oven as well as a microwave oven. All utensils for selfcatering are supplied.
Adjacent thatched ablution, for your private use only, seperate from chalet with toilet, washbasin, shower and hot water in abundance.

Warthog Bushcamp
Our Warthog Bushcamp is available with deliberate minimum facilities to enhance the “bush atmosphere”. Here we offer a big single-roomed, cottage (17 m²) with a ¾ bed and 3 single beds.
NO ELECTRIC LIGHTS - DELIBERATELY - only candles and paraffin lamps!! An electric powerpoint is however available for necessities such as hair dryers, cellphone chargers, etc.
Open-fire braai area. Field kitchenette with 2-plate gas cooker, gas operated barfridge and a dishwashing sink.
An outside ablution-boma with “bush-shower” under a tree but very private – the birds will however be able to observe :- ) Abundant warm water available via a gas-burner and a hygienic, full-flush toilet.
This facility is for those who WANT to “rough-it” a bit!

Leriba” is an African word from the Sotho language meaning “place on the river bank”. This luxury bush lodge is nestled on eight hectares of indigenous forest on the banks of the Hennops River in Centurion. Leriba Lodge, 4 star graded hotel, is situated on 8 hectares of indigenous forest on the banks of the Hennops River. As a member of the Endangered Wildlife Trust we are proud of this piece of natural habitat in the city which form part of the green belt conservation area.
Leriba Lodge is committed to manage this conservation area to the best of our ability. Over the last 5 years more than 200 exotic trees were taken out and the rehabilitation programme included the establishment of over 150 indigenous plants and trees.
The future of Leriba Nature Park will depend on all of us who want to succeed. With more and more development and increasing numbers of people settling in the Centurion/Pretoria area, there will be a need for this park to be kept as an island, a breathing space, an open laboratory, a space to relax in natural habitat, a park in the city conserved for the benefit of future generations.

2010 Football World Cup
Pretoria will have two venues for the 2010 World Cup. One of them will be in the existing LOFTUS VERSFELD STADIUM and the new RAINBOW JUNCTION STADUIM will be built north of Pretoria in 2007.
