The Old Mill Guest House, originally used as a watermill, has been lovingly renovated to offer a comfortable Cape style guest house with restaurant in a National Monument.
Just off the N2 close to the Ashton road the Old Mill has private guest parking,individually decorated cottages each have private entrance, set in a mature garden.
It is easy to relax here; the welcome is warm, the smiles genuine and the style casual.
Six different rooms are welcoming, with fluffy towels, robes and fresh flowers.
The breakfast and pleasant atmosphere are definitely worth getting out of bed for.
You can enjoy candlelight dinner on the premises, inside or outside under the vine leaves.

Old Mill Guest House & Restaurant
Oewerzicht farm is situated in the peaceful and picturesque Greyton Valley only 9km from Greyton. Oewerzicht is a fully operational farm with fresh apples, pears, grapes or citrus available from January to June.
The rest of the 600 ha farm consists of rolling wheat lands, lots of cattle and a herd of Reebok. Birdwatchers will also be delighted to see, amongst other, blue cranes, secretary birds, and large flocks of guinea fowl.
You are of course free to hike all over the place, or bring your mountain bikes along to enjoy the farm. We also have fishing rods, tractor tubes and a canoe available to use on the river. There are two lovely braai facilities on the river bank to use.
Oewerzicht farm has six luxury tents with each with it en suite bathroom and seven cottages.
Welgeleë and Bergzicht are semi-detached and was the original farmhouse.
The old blue gum ceilings and oregon pine doors creates a real farmhouse atmosphere.
The cottages are situated on the edge of a citrus orchard and about 100 m from the Riviersonderend River where you can do some excellent bass fishing.
Each cottage has its own outside as well as an inside braai facility. The cottages are decorated with old oregon pine and oak furniture that enhances the atmosphere. The two tree houses in the citrus orchards equipped with mattresses is ideal for mum and dad to take a afternoon nap or for the kids to play in.
Uitsig are four freestanding cottages set next to each other about 300 m from the river on a hill with spectacular mountain views. Each cottage has two bedrooms with double beds, one bathroom, and open plan kitchen living room area with inside as well as outside braai facilities. Uitsig cottages do have a swimming pool between the four.
All seven cottages are fully equipped with all essential appliances. Towels, linen and wood are provided. There are canoes, tractor tubes and a raft for the guests to use.

Oceans Echo
Ocean View Lodge is a small country hotel owned by the same family since 1989. It is situated on 21 acres of “dreamland” on a unique narrow peninsula and surrounded by the azure waters of the Knysna Lagoon and the gentle Indian Ocean.
In the heart of the world famous Garden Route, Ocean View Lodge is 500 km east of Cape Town, 58 km from the airport in George and only 14 minutes drive from the charming town of Knysna situated. Ocean View Lodge comprises 3 buildings: Lodge, Restaurant and Owner’s House with Reception.
Our grounds have unique Southern Cape Fynbos - many kinds of Proteas including King Protea, Ericas, Bitou, Buchu, Watsonias Camphor Bush, George Lily, Fire Lily, local Aloas, Fountain Bush, Keurboom Bush and many others. The fauna consists of: Bush buck, Blue Duiker, and Ostriches. Many feathery friends are here too: Sunbirds, Franklins, Guinea fowl, Blue Crane, Loerie, Ibis and many more.
ACCOMMODATION:
All double bedrooms are en-suite and have breathtaking views of the warm Indian Ocean, verandas, TVs, coffee and tea trays and fridges. Some bedrooms have double beds and some twin beds. We also have a very romantic honeymoon suite with special bed linen and a full bathroom.
Our family bedrooms can accommodate 2 adults and 1 child or a family can book a suite with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and interleading door. 2 semi self-contained, self catering units sleeping 4 persons, each has 2 bedrooms both with bathrooms and kitchenette with microwave stove, fridge, toaster, kettle plus outside braai.
FACILITIES:
Ocean View Lodge has a restaurant where a full English breakfast is served. Listen to romantic music while admiring Brenton’s sunset. Sometimes you can see the famous “green flash” when the sun disappears in the Indian Ocean. Sundowners are served as well from 6 p.m. with snacks included.
Beach volley ball court for energetic, swimming pool and hikes on the property to the picnic spot on the top of the hill. Aromatherapy, Shiatsu and Soft laser facials are offered on the property by appointment.

Ocean View House, accredited with the Yzerfontein / Cape Town Tourism Bureau, is situated in Upper Road, “Olde Yzerfontein” and is an elevated property with all rooms having spectacular 180 degree sea views across the bay from the main beach to the harbour allowing for excellent seasonal whale and dolphin watching. Wonderful viewing of the West Coast wild flowers are best during late August into early September.
ACCOMMODATION:
Up-market yet reasonably priced accommodation in this privately-owned residence comprises an entire, self-contained and private level of the house with all rooms having full sea views. Tastefully decorated, this self-catering home, sleeping 6 people, has 3 double bedrooms, providing the following accommodation options:
OPTION A: Full self catering house, sleeping up to 6 people:
The Green Room - Main bedroom, queen bed
The Bow Room - Twin room (can be made up to king)
The Yellow Room - Two ¾ beds (can be made up to an extra large king bed), en-suite bathroom (without shower), and private deck
The Green and Bow Rooms share a large family bathroom (with shower).
OPTION B: 2 bedroom self-catering unit, sleeping up to 4 people:
Sitting room, kitchen, Green and Bow Bedrooms, all leading onto the full length covered entertainment patio, and lower grassed level.
OPTION C: The Yellow Room, sleeping up to 2 people:
A lovely, sunny double bedroom en-suite (bath only) with private deck overlooking the bay and main beach, own entrance. No cooking facilities. DSTV / Satellite television, bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities.
Cots for toddlers are not provided and guests are requested to make preferred bedding arrangements during full house bookings (6 adults).
FACILITIES:
A charming sitting room has an adjoining separate kitchen with fridge/freezer, stove, microwave oven, electric frying pan, dining table with 6 chairs and all necessary cooking equipment. DSTV / Satellite televisions are in the Sitting Room and separate Yellow Room.
The sitting room and all bedrooms have full sea views (simply wonderful when lying in bed) with glass sliding doors leading out to a large covered patio/entertainment area which extends the full length of the house facing the sea. Portable braai facilities are available.
A further grassed garden level is also for guests’ private use and gives direct access to the rocks via a public stairwell and across the road with a five minute stroll to the main beach either along the “dassie” rocks or the road.
Accommodation includes bed linen (white percale), soft towels, bath soaps, kitchen linen, dishwashing liquid. (Excludes Beach Towels). Guests simply have to bring along food, beach towels, personal items and perhaps binoculars. Charcoal and basic shopping is available in the village and it is recommended that food shopping be done in Cape Town prior to arrival.
