Ngorongoro Crater-Serengeti Day 3
08:00 After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro for a 1/2 day crater tour, taking picnic lunches with you. This visit will actually give you the highest chances of spotting the rare black rhino. The crater is 670 metres deep. The rest of the big five may be seen. Other species encountered include cheetah, grant’s and Thompson’s gazelle, the common zebra, spotted hyena and wildebeest. Flamingos may also be seen on the crater lake. In between tracking game, you will have a break for lunch at the Ngoitoktok springs picnic site. Selous Game Reserve boasts Tanzania’s largest population of elephant as well as large numbers of herds of buffalo, hippo, crocodile, wild dog, a variety of 440 species of birds, over 2000 variety of plants, hot volcanic springs, lagoons, the great Rufiji River and the diverse landscape makes Selous Game Reserve a World Heritage site. Mikumi N.P. is Tanzania’s third largest National Park and covers an area of 3230 sq km. One of the principal features of Mikumi is the Mkata River flood plain, an area of lush vegetation, which particularly attracts elephants and buffaloes. The park is flanked between the Uluguru and Udzungwa Mountains. Open grasslands dominate in the flood plain, eventually merging with the miombo woodlands covering the lower hills. Mikumi National Park is home to buffalo, giraffe, elephant, lion, zebra, and leopard and is famous for its wild dogs and 6m long pythons.

Mufindi is set at approximately 6000ft and has a mosquito free, cool climate. Located within the African Rift Valley among the highland tea estates, Mufindi is around 5 hours drive from Dar es Salaam. The lakes are stocked with rainbow trout so the fly-fishing is excellent.

Ngorongoro - Nairobi Day 3
After breakfast, taking picnic lunches with you descend down to the crater floor for a 1/2day of tracking game with your guide. The crater is 670m deep and 260km2 wide, making it the largest in the world. The crater contains all the big five; hippos, cheetah, antelopes and spotted hyena. Black rhino and leopard can only be seen with luck as the two are extremely shy and elusive.
The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle. Other game such as vervet monkey, jackal, foxes, rock and tree hyraxes, warthog, gnu, zebra and hare can be seen with relative ease. You will have a break for lunch at the Ngoitoktok springs picnic site. In the evening you will descend up and out of the narrow and steep crater walls, which is a thrilling exercise. NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA(Olduvai) Day 6
In the morning after breakfast continue with game drives around the Seronera at 12:30hrs you will have the hot lunch at the lodge. After lunch drive to Ikoma bush camp. The drive from seronera to Ikoma is about 1 hour. At 2000hrs departs for night game drives, view nocturnal animals; leopards, hippos, porcupines, genets, civets, bush babies and lots more. Overnight at Ikoma Bush Camp (tented camp).
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK Day 4
In the morning after breakfast at around 0900hrs drive from the hotel in Arusha town to Lake Manyara National Park. You will start with an easy cycle ride of about 3 hours down the great rift valley wall into the farming village of Mto wa Mbu. Experience local cultures from the bike, ride through some of the Manyara Ground water forest and between small herds of wildlife on the lake shore. You can have a local lunch prepared by the hotel or by the lady in the village. In the afternoon return to the lodge for some resting. At 1900hrs you will depart for night game drive. A first for Tanzania National Parks…. From an open game drive vehicle view nocturnal animals; leopards, hippos, porcupines, genets, civets, bush babies and lots more. The night game drive is also an experience for the senses; listening to the night sounds and learning more about the African stars. You will serve an excellent bush dinner next to the park entrance that starts at 1900hrs. Around 2000hrs you will leave for the night game drive. Overnight the Lodge in Manyara.
LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK Day 3
Day1
Pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Day2
In the morning after breakfast at 0900hrs drive from the hotel in Arusha town to Arusha National Park for canoeing safari following the shorelines of small Momella Lake. View buffaloes, bush buck, giraffes, hippos and many water birds living in and close to the water. In the late afternoon drive back to the hotel in Arusha town for dinner and overnight.
ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK Day 1 & 2
Breakfast will be at the hotel and you will then be taken to the Rainforest for a guided tour of the Falls and then afterwards to the Craft Village for a display of the Traditional way of living in Zimbabwe.
Lunch will be on your own account
You will spend the afternoon at leisure – an opportunity to take part in the optional tours.
In the evening you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport where you will be assisted with luggage and check-in for their departure flight to Harare for dinner and overnight. Bed and breakfast.
Day 9
After breakfast transfer to the airport for flight to Dar es Salaam to connect to your departure flight back home.
