    After breakfast we drive down the steep narrow track to drop 3,000 feet to the floor of one of the world’s largest volcanic craters the fabled Ngorongoro. Here there is game in abundance in a wide variety for all day game viewing with a picnic lunch on the crater floor. You may see the Big 5 in one day. Be prepared for exciting photo opportunities.     08:00hrs depart for Tarangire National Park after breakfast and en-route scenic views. Arrive for lunch at the campsite. 15:00hrs early evening game drive in Tarangire Park. The park has an atmosphere of remoteness and has fewer visitors than all the other parks in Tanzania’s entire northern circuit. Blue monkeys, hornbills, pelicans, herons can be seen as well as elephants in large herds, cheetah, jackal, fish eagle, marabou stork and hippos. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

    06:30hrs pre-breakfast morning game drive in Serengeti. 10:00 Depart after breakfast for Ngorongoro Crater. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon drive to the Ngorongoro Crater floor and descend down its walls for a 1/2 day crater tour with a picnic lunch. It is a thrilling experience to descend down and out of the narrow and steep crater walls of 670 metres depth, which has earned this crater, also the largest in the world the title “the eight wonder in the world’’. Flamingos can be seen seasonally in the Crater Lake, depending on the water level as these birds only breed in shallow water. Many animals, which have made this crater their permanent home, can be seen on the crater floor. Dinner and overnight at the campsite.

    08:00 Depart for Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge. Arrive for lunch in Serengeti. 15:00 late afternoon game drive in Serengeti Park. The term ‘Serengeti’ means ‘endless plains’ in Maasai language. In the central plains there are carnivores like lion, leopard, hyena and cheetah. This park is normally the scene off the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra, which occurs between the Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara. Eagles, flamingo, ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis, stork, heron, kite, pelican, crane and guinea fowl are among the birds that can be seen in the park. Dinner and overnight at campsite

    A steady descent down through the moor land to Mandara Hut and then downward through the lush forest on a good path to the National Park gate at Marangu ( 1830m) taking 5 to 7 hours to be met and transferred to your Hotel for dinner and overnight.

    Kibo-Summit-Horombo Hut Day 5

    An early start for the summit on steep heavy scree to arrive at Gilman’s Point at 18640ft/5681m in time to see the sun rise. Those who want to reach the highest point in Africa can take the approximately three hour excursion to Uhuru Peak 19340/5896m passing close to the spectacular glaciers and ice cliffs that still occupy most of the summit area. The descent to Kibo is surprisingly fast and after some refreshment, continues the descent to reach the final campsite at Horombo at 12000ft/3700m taking 11 to 15 hours. Overnight Horombo Camp.

    Continue ascending on the east side of Kibo crossing the saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo taking 4 to 5 hours to reach Kibo Hut at 15000ft/4700m. The reminder of the day is spent resting in preparation for the final ascent which begins around midnight. Overnight Kibo Camp.

    The climb begins at the village of Nale Moru (1950m) through cultivated land before entering the pine forest. Watch out for Kilimanjaro Colobus monkeys in the tree tops with their white fringed ‘capes’ and tail. Taking 3 - 4 hours the first camp is on the edge of the moor land zone where the forest begins to thin out at First Cave at 8500ft/2600m. Overnight 1st Cave Camp

The crater is 670 metres deep. The rest of the big five may be seen. Other species encountered include cheetah, grant’s and Thompson’s gazelle, the common zebra, spotted hyena and wildebeest. Flamingos may also be seen on the crater lake. In between tracking game, you will have a break for lunch at the Ngoitoktok springs picnic site.     Mikumi N.P. is Tanzania’s third largest National Park and covers an area of 3230 sq km. One of the principal features of Mikumi is the Mkata River flood plain, an area of lush vegetation, which particularly attracts elephants and buffaloes. The park is flanked between the Uluguru and Udzungwa Mountains. Overnight at Tented Camp, full board.

    Accommodation is in large walk- in tents with wooden twin beds( double bed available on request), floor mats, towels, lights( kerosene), en suite bathrooms (open-air hot water showers and long drop toilets). Towels and toilet paper are in the camp. Water is provided during meals and game drives 1 x 1.5 per person).

    Day 1
    Pick up from the Hotel and we head down to Selous Game Reserve. Arrival at the camp will be in time for late lunch. Later afternoon/evening game drive and overnight at Mobile Camp.

    Day 2
    Start the day with a walking safari accompanied by an armed game ranger. This will take you through a wide part of the game reserve. Breathe in the intoxicating smell of the African bush: a mixture of the African soil and the smell of the wild animals. You will not only try to identify the different animal spoor but your guide will share with you his knowledge of the different flora in the reserve. Overnight at Mobile Camp, full board

    After breakfast, drive back to Arusha for lunch, by passing maize and coffee plantations in the crater’s immediate environs. After lunch, drive back to Nairobi arriving in the evening.

    After breakfast, taking picnic lunches with you descend down to the crater floor for a 1/2day of tracking game with your guide. The crater is 670m deep and 260km2 wide, making it the largest in the world. The crater contains all the big five; hippos, cheetah, antelopes and spotted hyena. Black rhino and leopard can only be seen with luck as the two are extremely shy and elusive.

    The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle. Other game such as vervet monkey, jackal, foxes, rock and tree hyraxes, warthog, gnu, zebra and hare can be seen with relative ease. You will have a break for lunch at the Ngoitoktok springs picnic site. In the evening you will descend up and out of the narrow and steep crater walls, which is a thrilling exercise. Dinner and overnight at a campsite.

    After breakfast, pick up from your Nairobi hotel. Depart for Arusha town via Namanga border town for immigration formalities. Arrive in time for lunch then proceed to the crater rim for dinner and overnight at the campsite.

    HALF DAY CRATER TOUR – ARUSHA Day 8

    In the morning after breakfast at 0800hrs descend into the crater for half day crater tour. At 1215hrs ascend the crater and drive to the lodge for hot lunch. After lunch drive back to Arusha town. If the departure flight will leave in the evening hours you will drive direct to Kilimanjaro Airport, but if the departure flight leaves in the mid- day hours you will have to spend this night in Arusha town.

    HALF DAY CRATER TOUR – ARUSHA Day 8


    NGORONGORO (SERENGETI VIEW HIKE) Day 7

    In the morning after breakfast at around 0900hrs you will go for 3 hours hike along the rim of Ngorongoro Crater into the Malenga depression ending with a stunning view over the Serengeti short grass plains. At 1300hrs return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch it is your time for resting and leisure at your lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Ngorongoro.

    After breakfast at around 1000hrs drive from Ikoma to Ngorongoro conservation area game en route. You will pass by Olduvai Gorge the archaeological site. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Ngorongoro.

    IKOMA Day 5

    In the morning after breakfast continue with game drives around the Seronera at 12:30hrs you will have the hot lunch at the lodge. After lunch drive to Ikoma bush camp. The drive from seronera to Ikoma is about 1 hour. At 2000hrs departs for night game drives, view nocturnal animals; leopards, hippos, porcupines, genets, civets, bush babies and lots more. Overnight at Ikoma Bush Camp (tented camp).

    SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK Day 4

    In the morning after breakfast at around 1000hrs drive to Serengeti National Park game en route. You will have an evening game drives in the seronera area. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in the seronera.

    LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK Day 3

    In the morning after breakfast at around 0900hrs drive from the hotel in Arusha town to Lake Manyara National Park. You will start with an easy cycle ride of about 3 hours down the great rift valley wall into the farming village of Mto wa Mbu. Experience local cultures from the bike, ride through some of the Manyara Ground water forest and between small herds of wildlife on the lake shore. You can have a local lunch prepared by the hotel or by the lady in the village. In the afternoon return to the lodge for some resting. At 1900hrs you will depart for night game drive. A first for Tanzania National Parks…. From an open game drive vehicle view nocturnal animals; leopards, hippos, porcupines, genets, civets, bush babies and lots more. The night game drive is also an experience for the senses; listening to the night sounds and learning more about the African stars. You will serve an excellent bush dinner next to the park entrance that starts at 1900hrs. Around 2000hrs you will leave for the night game drive. Overnight the Lodge in Manyara.

    Day1 
    Pick up from Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to Arusha for dinner and overnight. 

    Day2
    In the morning after breakfast at 0900hrs drive from the hotel in Arusha town to Arusha National Park for canoeing safari following the shorelines of small Momella Lake. View buffaloes, bush buck, giraffes, hippos and many water birds living in and close to the water. In the late afternoon drive back to the hotel in Arusha town for dinner and overnight.

    ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK Day 1 & 2


    GUIDED TOUR AT VICTORIA FALLS Day 8-9

    Breakfast will be at the hotel and you will then be taken to the Rainforest for a guided tour of the Falls and then afterwards to the Craft Village for a display of the Traditional way of living in Zimbabwe.

    Lunch will be on your own account

    You will spend the afternoon at leisure – an opportunity to take part in the optional tours.

    In the evening you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport where you will be assisted with luggage and check-in for their departure flight to Harare for dinner and overnight. Bed and breakfast.

    Day 9
    After breakfast transfer to the airport for flight to Dar es Salaam to connect to your departure flight back home.
