Sultan Palace - Zanzibar
Located in Zanzibar, an Arab Spice Island off the Coast of Tanzania and north of the village Bwejuu, about 1.5 hours drive from Stone Town, lies the small and exclusive 5 Star Sultan's Palace Hotel.
The Sultan Palace blends romance, privacy and relaxation in the elegant ambiance of a private villa. In a land renowned for its exotic flavours and spices, Sultan's Palace offers a delectable beachfront retreat amid gardens perfumed with citronella and frangipani. Imosing elegance and a cordiality of welcome that borrows its warmth in the welcoming smile of Zanizbar's people.
Magically recapturing the spirit of ancient and exotic Zanzibar, the spacious fifteen shell shaped cliff top cottages are individually furnished with local antiques, carved Omanite doors and hand painted tiles. Huge bathrooms, verandahs, private gardens greet you.
All rooms have air-conditioning and mini bars. Views overlooking the pristine azure waters of the Indian Ocean and the exquisite white beach of this East coast paradise entice you.
Five Imperial suites of 185 sqm with two queen sized Zanziban beds, walk in wardrobe, twin showers and twin basins. The suites have a private entrance with direct access to the beach and a private walk in garden with hamock.
Four Ocean Suites of 82 sqm with beautiful views of the Ocean.
Six Garden Suites of 120 sqm set in the scented tropical gardens.
There is a sense of contentment that comes from facing the calm azure waters of the ocean. A kaleidoscope of changing colours, a myriad of sounds and moments of pure silence to reconcile your soul.
Delightful cuisine with the accent on fresh seafood and Zanzibar spices , is served on the beach banda's at lunchtime, feet away from the sparkling blue waters of the Indian Ocean, both informal and relaxing. Dinner is served in the candle-lit terraces of the Club House...perched on a cliff overlooking the beach and ocean. The chef creates his art in tantalizing dishes blending the exotic withthe Mediterranean.
A journey into culinary fantasies.
Zanzibar is unique old world charm and culture. The Stone Town is abuzz with activity, winding streets, filled with local antique artifacts and souvenirs, resminiscent of an era gone by. Stone Town is a World Heritage listed site and very interesting. Dolphin watching and snorkelling on the traditional boats called Ngalawas are experiences not to be missed.
At extra cost, the hotel arranges snorkelling from its own local fishing boat in the lagoon in front of the hotel as well as big game fishing. Scuba diving is organised through the Breezes Beach Club.
