Arrive in Johannesburg for early morning departure from Johannesburg International Airport. (Your own flight arrangements and we recommend arrival in Jhb the day before our departure if your flight arrives after +- 07H00 in the morning-then we will collect you from your nearby Hotel). Our experienced and registered 'child-friendly' Safari Guide, will meet and collect you in the morning at International Arrivals at the Airport, with our air-conditioned vehicle. We will depart for the first of our Rest Camps in the Kruger National Park, from there we travel through a number of towns (on the way we will have a light lunch - at a road side restaurant -included in price) and enter the Kruger National Park (approximately 500 km's and 5.5 hours later) at one of the southern-or western Entrance Gates. Then it is a 1- to 3-hour slow speed game drive to the Rest Camp, the first of our overnight stops for 2 nights. We might drive through the Berg-en-Dal area that falls in an eco-zone that is described as 'Malelane Mountain Bushveld'. This beautiful mountainous area has the highest rainfall in Kruger, and so produces many unique plants. It is a good area in which to find the white rhino. The vegetation tends to be more like that of the Bushveld than the true Lowveld. Look out for predators such as lion, hyena and wild dog. From this area, we drive northwards for the Rest Camp, where we overnight for the next 2 nights. The Rest Camp falls in an eco-zone that is described as 'Southern Low Rolling Hills.' Fairly dense woody vegetation covers the area, which is therefore an ideal home for browsers and their hunters. Look out for predators such as lion, hyena, wild dog and leopard. Black rhino may also be found in the area. The 2 nights here allows us to explore further and we can visit the museum in the Rest Camp and relax at a picnic site along the Sabie River. Accommodation in your choice of accommodation option every night, with a 3-course dinner (every night included) eaten in the Rest Camp's Restaurant (option 1, or for option 2 a combination of restaurant meals and camp fire "braai's"). On the second night an exciting night-game drive is arranged for you to experience the nocturnal activities and to see animals normally not seen during day-time! (For this night-drive please note that only children above the age of 6 are allowed- but for our daily game drives there is off-course no age limit.) Note that there is a swimming pool at this RC for the kids to cool off during the hot days!
